The rain came down in buckets today splashing roughly against my windshield. The sky was tightly loaded with grey clouds and a soft mist covered the surface of the green fields which I passed. Usually in this scenario, my mind is off thinking of my to do list; or in some foreign place wandering the streets of a beautiful city; or worrying about something monetary and unimportant like money, but it wasn’t.

It was almost completely empty. Maybe because I was tired but it really was as quiet and still as those green fields.

And is was wonderful.

Continued from last post.

When opportunity arose, I traveled to Helena over the weekend and I was not disappointed at all! I had the great pleasure of hanging out with my hilarious and splendid family. We spent mornings talking over cups of coffee and reading; enjoyed hot springs and cafes by day; and relished family dinners and walks at night. My brothers and I even had a stick battle on the shores of a near by lake which reminded me what it was like being young and childlike.

I certainly feel blessed to have such a wonderful group of people that I can call family.

Ode to Sad Clown

Joe Purdy

I love moutain biking.

Where it takes you and even the times when you get beat up.

Zimmerman Park in Billings is great.

A man planted a huge vineyard, but then left it to his newly hired tenants. He went to another country for a long time.

When the time came he sent a servant to reap some fruit from the vineyard, but the tenants beat him and sent him away.

Again the man sent a servant and again the tenants treated him shamefully and beat him.

A third time the man sent a servant of whom was wounded far worse then the two others and he was cast out.

Out of complete vulnerability and grace, the man decided to send his one and only beloved son to these tenants who had already shown a violent behavior. When they heard this they came up with a plan, out of complete greed, to kill the son and try and gain the inheritance.

They murdered the son.

What will the man do now?

How often does God show us love through his vulnerability and grace?

Maybe too often yet he still does.

That is love.

I can’t stop thinking about being in Europe. The beautiful and old cities; the interesting and intriguing cultures; and the freedom. Paris, among many other cities, was very touristy but yet it was still so very charming and attractive. I had such a wonderful time with my friends seeing the sights, eating and drinking great things, and taking photos. Here are some of the ones I was able to “catch”.

I planted some herbs today.

Hopefully they will grow.

I want to cook with them.

yaramiora asked: Dear Caleb, I'm Yara, a good friend of Sally! I really like your photography! Keep it up =]

Oh thank you Yara! That’s really nice of you to say:)
